Welcome to one of Topeka's Top Three Universities.

Picture
Located in the picturesque Westboro neighborhood of Topeka, Kansas, the University of Western Topeka is one of the city's leading institutions of higher learning. Currently ranked as the #3 university in the nation with a duck mascot, UWT is also home to the only landlocked academic institute dedicated solely to the research of narwhals at a private U.S. university.

We are located at the geographic center of the United States, providing prime placement for students seeking a job in Topeka’s thriving agricultural industry or on either coast. The city is the capital of Kansas and is home to, among others, attractions such as the Topeka Zoo, Kansas Museum of History, and Westboro Baptist Church. Our campus in Palatka, Florida is similarly overflowing with opportunity, offering the only B.S. in Paper Production and Manufacture in the country.

UWT is renowned for the access its affordability provides; indeed, we have never strayed far from the founding principles instilled in the institution by the unemployed homeless man who founded it.

Now, however, is an especially great time to become a Duck. Recent new academic and campus offerings include the Art Institute of Topeka and the planned establishment of the (Elaine S.) Harvard Law School and the John S. Hopkins School of Medicine.  We are currently in the process of implementing UWT 2012, which is a groundbreaking new vision for the university that will truly place us among the most prestigious institutions in the world. After reading about it, check out our Freshman application information.

You are also invited to read our President's Message and explore this website to discover all of what UWT has to offer. As you browse, please note that while some tabs in the navigation bar have drop-down options, the tabs themselves are also clickable, and you will be missing out if you don't click on them. Thank you for stopping by, and remember: "Quackus Del Quackero": The one who quacks the loudest quacks the best.
