The Institute for Narwhal Research at the University of Western Topeka is the world’s only academic institution solely dedicated to research on Monodon monoceros, more commonly known as the narwhal. Organizations currently working with the INR at UWT include the World Wildlife Fund, Greenpeace, and the Kansas Humane Society.
